Top Gun Quarter Horse Stud is a small stud run by Fiona and Athol Edmonds, now situated near Tweed Heads, NSW, where we strive to produce top quality working and show horses whilst maintaining a high standard of ethics and honesty.

We were fortunate enough to commence our breeding program in the mid 1980's with "Bill's Cutter" the son of World Champion Cutting Horse, "Cutter Bill". It was through Bill we learned the importance of the character and capacity of the foundation bred Quarter Horse. Bill's progeny have shown the ability and disposition of Champions, and they continue to pass these traits to their offspring.

In 1998, in an effort to maintain those qualities in the Australian breed, we commenced looking for a well-credentialed foundation bloodline outcross, and discovered the horses of the Pitzer Ranch of Nebraska, home of the world's most prolific sire of QH Champions, "Two Eyed Jack".

The Pitzer ranch produces strong, straight legged, medium boned working horses, equally at home roping a steer at roundup, or showing their skills in a World Show qualifying event. In 1999 we purchased a palomino colt by "Two Eyed Red Buck", a multiple AmQHA Champion and 11 times World Show qualifier, out of a "Two Eyed Jack" bred mare.

"Two Eyed Fancy Baron" has 9 AmQHA Champions in Cutting, Working Cow Horse, Reining and a variety of roping events, in the last 4 generations of his pedigree. "Booker" has the ability to reintroduce into the Australian Quarter Horse industry the physical attributes, determination and athletic prowess that has been diluted over the past 2 decades by programs of line-breeding and gene pool limitation.

"During February, 2008 we visited Paul Kiernan at his Wyview Stud near Lismore where we saw his mare "Kiernans Destiny" with her 4 month old roan colt foal at foot. We were immediately taken with the colt, who we now call Bundy, and negotiated his purchase.

We are really excited about the combination of Australia's most sought after bloodlines and the potential of this young colt. The topside of "Peptos Stylish Oak" (Imp) needs no further comment, while he has a depth of breeding on the bottom side that we have rarely seen equalled. Kiernans Destiny is by Acres Destiny (Imp), another no comment needed, from a Wagon Cook (Imp) mare. Her next generation boasts the legendary Roc'O'Lena (Imp) before then showing the champion cutter Mr. Moore 8 (imp).

Bundy already displays the looks and athleticism of "Peptos Sylish Oak" together with the refinement and fluid movement of "Acres Destiny". Whether you are looking to breed for Cutting, Camp-Drafting, Team Penning or any Performance event Bundy has a depth of breeding that cannot be surpassed.

Bundy will be standing his first season to a limited number of mares in the 2010.

Welcome to our web site, please take your time to browse through the photos and pedigrees of our stallions, our select band of brood mares and check out our foals. We are sure you will recognise the potential of purchasing progeny, or breeding to either "Two Eyed Fancy Baron" or "WV Peptos Stylish Acre".
